How to use industrial dust removal filter cages？

Industrial dust removal filter cages (also called "dust removal filter frame" or "bag cage") are the core components of bag dust collectors. They are used to support the filter bags, prevent collapse, and ensure efficient dust filtration. Mastering the correct usage method can extend the life of the filter bags and improve dust removal efficiency.

1. Installation steps
(1). Pre-installation inspection
Check the integrity of the filter cage:Confirm that there is no deformation, desoldering, or burrs (to avoid scratching the filter bag).Measure the diameter and length to ensure that they match the filter bag.

Check the condition of the filter bag:New filter bags should be free of damage, and old filter bags should be confirmed to be free of blockage or aging.

Clean the inside of the dust collector:Remove residual dust to avoid affecting the sealing.

(2). Install the filter cage
Vertically insert the filter bag:Slowly place the filter cage into the filter bag to avoid twisting or forcing it in.Make sure the cage fits the inner wall of the filter bag without wrinkles.

Fixing method:
Snap-on type: Align the hole of the flower plate and rotate to lock.
Bolt fixing: Tighten the flower plate with a nut to ensure that it does not loosen.
Spring expansion type: Press the spring ring to make it close to the edge of the flower plate.

Seal inspection:
After installation, shake the filter bag gently to confirm that the filter cage does not shake and there is no powder leakage at the seal.

2. Precautions during use
(1). Operation monitoring
Pressure difference monitoring:
Normal pressure difference range: 1000~1500Pa. If it continues to rise, the filter bag may be blocked or the filter cage may be deformed.
Abnormal vibration or noise:It may be due to the loose filter cage or damaged filter bag. Stop the machine for inspection.

(2). Maintenance
Regular cleaning:Select the cleaning method (pulse jet, mechanical vibration, etc.) according to the type of dust collector to avoid excessive dust accumulation in the filter bag.

Check wear and tear:Check the surface of the filter cage every month. If the coating is found to be peeling or rusted, it needs to be replaced. 

When to Replace Filter Bags:When filter bags are damaged, hardened, or the differential pressure exceeds the specified value for a long period of time, they should be replaced along with the filter cage.

3. Steps for Replacing the Filter Cage
Shutdown and Depressurize: Turn off the dust collector to release the internal pressure.
Remove the old filter bags and filter cage: Loosen the fixings and carefully remove to avoid dust flying.
Cleaning the perforations on the perforations: Use compressed air to blow away any dust on the perforations and ensure the new filter cage is installed tightly.
Installing the new filter cage: Follow the installation steps above to ensure it is compatible with the filter bag.
Test Run: After starting the machine, observe the differential pressure and dust removal efficiency to confirm there is no leakage.
