What to Consider When Installing an Industrial Dust Removal Filter Cage

In industrial production, the stable operation of bag filters is crucial to environmental protection and production efficiency. As a core component of a dust collector, the installation quality of the industrial dust removal filter cage directly impacts the dust removal efficiency, energy consumption, and service life of the entire system.

1. Pre-Installation Preparation

Safety Measures in Place: Before installation, ensure that the dust collector is completely shut down, the system pressure is depressurized, and the fan is powered off. This is paramount for operator safety.
Component Inspection and Pretreatment: Before installation, carefully inspect the filter cage surface for smoothness and flatness, ensuring there are no burrs, weld scars, or loose solder joints. If any surface roughness or sharp protrusions are detected, sand them with sandpaper or a file until they are smooth to the touch.

2. Key Techniques During Installation

Precise Alignment and Verticality Control: During installation, ensure that the centerline of the filter cage and the centerline of the filter bag are perfectly aligned. Lighting should be used to assist in this process, ensuring the filter cage remains vertical throughout insertion. Precise Seating Control: When slowly inserting the filter cage into the filter bag, the operator should determine its position by feel. Generally, a clear sense of seat will be felt when the cage retaining ring or base is fully seated against the ceiling.

3. Quality Control and Acceptance Standards

Airtightness Testing: After installation, an airtightness test is required. This can be performed using a fluorescent powder test or a pressure differential test to verify installation quality. Any slight deviation may result in uneven wear of the filter bag.
Inspection of Supporting Components: Before installation, confirm that supporting components such as the venturi and seals are intact and within acceptable tolerances.
Dynamic Balance Verification: For large or high-speed dust removal systems, it is recommended to check the balance of the filter cage after installation to ensure stability during backflush cleaning.
