2. Maintenance Recommendations for Polyester Needle Punched Filter Felt

Inspection and preparation before installation

(1) Check the matching of filter bag and bag cage

Dimension verification: Ensure that the length of the filter bag is consistent with the bag cage, and there is no excessive stretching or wrinkling after installation (stretching rate should be less than 2%).

Bag cage integrity: Check whether the welding points are smooth, without burrs or deformation, to prevent scratching the inner wall of the filter bag.

Sealing test: Air tightness test is required after installation, and the leakage rate should be less than 1%.

(2) System cleaning

Clean the inside of the dust collector thoroughly before installation to avoid welding slag and dust residue that may cause wear of the filter bag.

Check whether the edge of the flower plate hole is smooth and polish with sandpaper if necessary.

Daily maintenance during operation

(1) Optimization of cleaning parameters

Pulse pressure: Control at 0.4-0.6MPa. Too high pressure will cause fiber breakage, and too low pressure will not clean thoroughly. Cleaning cycle: Adjust according to the pressure difference (it is recommended to clean when the pressure difference is ≤1500Pa), avoid frequent cleaning (8-10 minutes interval is appropriate). Cleaning mode: Using "offline cleaning" can reduce secondary adsorption and extend the life of the filter bag.

(2)Pressure difference monitoring 

Under normal operating conditions, the system pressure difference should be stable at 800-1200Pa. If the pressure difference continues to rise (>1500Pa), the possible reasons are: Filter bag blockage (need to check the cleaning system) Dust humidity is high (need pretreatment or reduce wind speed) Filter bag surface is hardened (need to be manually cleaned or replaced)

(3) Temperature control

Continuous working temperature: ≤130℃ (short-term temperature resistance 150℃, but not more than 30 minutes).

Overtemperature protection: When the flue gas temperature is >150℃, the emergency cold air valve should be activated or the machine should be shut down to prevent the filter bag from shrinking and deforming due to heat.

Maintenance and care during downtime

(1) Inspection during downtime

Appearance inspection: Check the filter bags regularly (every 3 months) to see if there are any problems:

Wear: Check if the bag opening or seams are damaged (commonly caused by poor bag cage welding).

Crustation: Check if hard lumps form on the surface (caused by dust absorbing moisture or oil).

Corrosion: Check if the fiber becomes brittle (acid and alkali corrosion or high temperature aging).

Cage inspection: If rust or deformation is found, replace it in time to avoid puncturing the filter bag.

(2) Cleaning method

Offline cleaning: Use compressed air to blow back to remove surface dust.

Soak in a neutral detergent (pH 6-8) for 12-24 hours to soften the crusted dust.

Rinse with clean water and let it dry naturally (do not expose to the sun or dry in a dryer).

Contraindications:

Do not use a high-pressure water gun to directly flush (will damage the fiber structure).

Avoid using strong acid or strong alkali detergents (pH <3 or >11 will damage the filter material).
